Diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1995, she subsequently underwent stem-cell transplantation, which led to developing a mindfulness-based intervention for bone marrow transplant patients at UMass Medical Center, Emery University and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Adjunct faculty at University of Massachusetts Medical School, psychotherapist, teacher, speaker, workshop leader and research consultant.
