George R. Mead began to study anthropology in 1962 after being discharged (honorably) from the U. S. Army, Combat Engineers. He eventually received a B.A., M. A., and Ph. D. in his chosen field, before that an A.A. in Engineering. And many years later an M. S. W. in Clinical Social Work. He has worked in aerospace, taught at the college and university levels, worked in a community action agency, ran a restaurant, been unemployed, and worked for the U. S. Forest Service. He is now retired from the work-a-day world but does a certain amount of consulting, writing, and research. He lives seven miles outside of the small town of La Grande, Oregon, with his wife, two cats, and one dog from the animal shelter, Kona.
Fantasy -- ISBN 978-0-9890927-8-4 -- $ 15.00 There was a man who considered himself as a ten year-old thirty-four year-old male growing into adulthood. This person, who lived not far from Grandeville, Oregon, a very small rural place in a far corner of the state was, as most folk were, a product of the late 20th Century U.S. of A. It was beyond his experience or belief to live a fairy tale existence. But that it how it all started, trapped inside what he thought was a fairy tale existence. That is how it goes when one is highjacked, in a manner of speaking. His basic problem, as he saw it, was how to get home again. And that is the tale.
