This volume covers the life of Peter Genero before, during, and after World War II. It begins with his life in Rosendale and New York City during the Great Depression. The book continues with the author's military career before, during, and after World War II. He was involved in the famous Los Angeles Air Raid, shortly after Pearl Harbor, as well as the difficult island hopping campaign of the South Pacific. After the war, Peter Genero participated in the Occupation of Japan, the security of Iceland, and the air defense of Continental United States (to include UFO's and Sputnik). Probably the most interesting parts of the book are the "never before told" stories of "behind the scenes" happenings, concerning some of the most significant events of the last century, such The Berlin Wall, Crisis in Panama, Bay of Pigs, and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
