Synopsis
Forty writers mostly from North Carolina and Kentucky share personal stories of discovery, challenge and adventure in their lives in the spirit of America's pioneer hero Daniel Boone 250 years ago. He passed through the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky for the first time in 1769, spending two years filled with challenges and adventures while discovering a new land--exploring.
Through 45 short stories, readers share in the life experiences of writers--both fresh, new voices and seasoned storytellers. They gladly share tales from their lives, imparting messages, lessons, and learning for us all to consider for ourselves. With drama, tragedy, and sometimes humor, they share stories from their lives and the lives of those they love about exploring their worlds--making discoveries, facing challenges, and having adventures.

À propos de l'auteur
Randell Jones is an award-winning author of several history books about the pioneer era and the American Revolution in the South. He has received two Kentucky History Awards from the Kentucky Historical Society and the National History Award Medal from the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. He has served since 2007 as an invited member of the Road Scholars Speakers Bureau of the North Carolina Humanities Council. He writes, speaks, and publishes from Winston-Salem, North Carolina as Daniel Boone Footsteps. More about him and his books can be found at www.DanielBooneFootsteps.com.
