The first book will survey Bozhkovs previous works and will include essays by Regine Basha, Diana Block and Vasif Kortun, Director, Platform, Istanbul. The second book, to be published at the end of the tour, will highlight the new works produced during the artists Texas-based research, and will act as a compendium of research notes, ephemera, conversations and images related to Bozhkovs process of production. About the Artist New York-based, Daniel Bozhkov studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria where he was trained in the traditional painting techniques of fresco, egg tempera and oil painting and completed graduate studies in Fine Arts at Hunter College in New York City. He teaches at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Columbia University and Yale University. Bozhkov works and exhibits nationally and internationally.
