Born in Portland, Oregon, Joanne Denise Tynan, writing under the name J.D. Tynan, began putting words onto paper at an early age, and as she matured into womanhood, became a prolific author. Her first successful novel was the murder/mystery “Jill 9”. Jill 9, by J.D. Tynan won the 2007 Write Touch Reader’s Award and Honorable Mention at the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival
