John Benton was born in Toronto, Canada. He currently teaches English and Philosophy. In 2005, he collaborated with Alessandra Drage and Philip McShane on Introducing Critical Thinking, a text which offers a fresh and practical vision to the most fundamental problems in philosophy. Benton continues to pursue advanced research in the philosophy of language.
