Hardcover. Etat : New. Etat de la jaquette : New. 1st edition. H&R Arms Company 1871 - 1986 is a source of information and knowledge whose time has come. The community of firearm collecting has indoctrinated its followers with the idea that the only firearms worthy of collecting must be expensive; "the belief that the value of a collectible firearm is measured by its cost". They've sometimes disregarded the many other reasons for collecting firearms such as historical relevance. You will find no other firearm company with a richer or more monumental significance in dealing with the events that formed this great nation. In fact, because of their affordability H&R firearms made their way into just about every circle. Some have coined the term "the common man's gun", and in that knowledge we can conjure up the trials and tribulations of the most significant portion of the American populace, the working man. Make no mistake; knowing about firearms is the essence of American history. This being said, H&R Arms Co. 1871-1986 is not a book filled with information unhelpful to collectors, but instead it dives right into all the pertinent information needed to properly document these great guns. Serial numbers, dates of manufacture, model variations and more adorn these pages; not just the basics, but all the known minute details. Lavishly illustrated with pictures, sales flyers and more that corroborate all the academically exemplary text, this book will surely be the straw that broke the back of the high-priced-only ideology. Those few who now have H&R collections are sure to be pleased with the publication of this book, as with documentation, comes value. Those curiosities you've been admiring (but knew little about) for years at gun shows will now become the talk of the firearm community. Get in on the ground floor and prepare to be fascinated. Brand new in shrink wrap/never sold, 9 X 11.5 X 1.5 inches, 628 pages. N de rf. du vendeur 4430
