Synopsis

The Alphabet in Genesis presents the 30-year research of the Meru Foundation in three volumes. The essays and illustrations of Volume 3 focus on the philosophical, spiritual, and historical implications of Meru Foundation's findings; this volume also includes both interviews of the Foundation's Director of Research, Stan Tenen, and a section of evaluations and interpretations of Meru's work by others. ------ From the author: "Meru Foundation research has demonstrated that Hebrew is a gesture-language, with the shape of the letters determined by the sequence of letters at the start of Genesis. This enables Genesis to meet the 'von Neumann challenge' of a living information system, and it enables the letters to have natural universal meaning. Our work is peer-reviewed, challenging, unexpected, and offers fresh opportunities to 'reconcile the irreconcilable' in all fields of human endeavor, including and especially peacemaking."

À propos de l?auteur

Stan Tenen (B.S. Physics, Brooklyn Polytech, 1963) is Director of Research for the Meru Foundation (Sharon, MA). He has designed optical and electronic equipment, and holds several patents. In 1968, while examining the Hebrew text of Genesis, Mr. Tenen noticed what appeared to be a pattern in the arrangement of the letters. This observation, which prompted thirty years of research into the history and tradition of the text, has led to a meaningful understanding of traditional teachings in a modern context. Mr. Tenen's essays have been published in the Noetic Journal (Orinda), B'Or HaTorah (the journal of Torah and science), Tattva Viveka (Frankfurt), HERA Magazine (Rome), Gnosis Magazine (San Francisco), and NISHMA Introspections (Toronto). A chapter on his research was included in mathematician Jay Kappraff's book "Beyond Measure: A Guided Tour through Nature, Myth, and Number" (World Scientific). Mr. Tenen has been interviewed on radio and television; his video lecture series is available from Meru Foundation. He may be reached through the Meru Foundation website at www.meru.org.
