Crow Country by Emily V. Sullivan

Twenty-six years ago, the world went dark. The power grid failed. Civilization collapsed. And the crows—mutated, monstrous, ruthless—rose to the top of the food chain.

The lights were beautiful. The silence was worse. No power. No food. No rules. In the ashes of Denver, the crows feast.

Now, the last scraps of mankind cling to life across the wastelands of Colorado. In the fortified town of Genesis, Judge enforces the only law that matters: survive or die. He keeps order. He kills crows. He doesn’t flinch. But when rumors spread of a working train—steel salvation in a dead world—everything changes. Because where there's hope, there's danger. And the crows are hungry.

Some men want power. Others want freedom. Judge wants none of it. He wants vengeance. But vengeance has a cost... and crows don’t die easy.

In this hauntingly post-apocalyptic tale, the cruel, the cunning, and the lucky are all that remain. And above it all, the crows watch—and feast.

“Everyone was, in one night, made basic again. When the Lord snapped his fingers, the Devil took the stage. What tremendous music he made.”

Crow Country is a cinematic, blood-and-dust survival tale for fans of dark dystopia and gritty frontier justice.

À propos de l'auteur

Emily Sullivan is the newly-published author of Crow Country. Raised with the Rocky Mountains at her doorstep, she holds the West close to her heart and finds her happiness caring for horses, her plants, and her wonderful cat, Nymeria, whose familial "sisters" are, appropriately, Sansa and Arya. Before writing action/adventure westerns, she received a Political Science and Russian Studies degree from Cornell University, and later continued an editing education from the University of Washington. She spent time working for the Department of Defense in counterintelligence, then transitioned to the private sector for radar and space-based defense contracting. Through her books she lets her imagination thrive, and she would love to continue writing, creating stories, and bringing those worlds to life.
