Synopsis

Medicine in the late 1800s was just beginning to be a science. Two-thirds of Americans lived on farms, ranches, or small towns, without indoor plumbing. Serious disease was common as was accidents and injury. Doctor Ben Kelly unlike most doctors of his day graduated from an actual medical school. Now he is in the old west in Arizona. He didn't come to practice medicine, just to find his grandfather. But he keeps being asked to help. The more he helps the more he becomes involved.
