This book is for boys who sometimes wonder why their family isn't like everybody else's.
It's for boys roughly nine to twelve years old who are growing up in circumstances that may be difficult, confusing, painful, or unsafe.
Its central message is simple: A boy's circumstances are not his identity. He is not responsible for adult problems, and a difficult childhood does not have to determine the person he becomes.

Writing is a great pastime, and during my life I've spent a lot of time doing it. My interests are varied, and I work on whatever projects happen to capture my interest at any particular moment. Those have included fictions, historical biographical sketches, visitor guide booklets, how-to, and self-help books. I publish them for fun, mostly; or sometimes with the wish to be helpful. For example, as a former electronics engineer, I've also produced an online course in basic electronics, which many have used to improve their employment/advancement prospects, the compiled transcripts for which have also been published. There must be thousands of people in the world named "Gene Warner" or "Jean Warner"; I am Gene L Warner - Grand Haven, Michigan USA
