Then the work moves on to the opinions of Job’s friends with his responses until Job is vindicated and blessed. There are twenty-one pieces in the work. Total time to perform is about one hour and 25 minutes.

The composer, Dan Montez, is General Director of Taconic Opera (taconicopera.org). He has been a composer for 35 years, and an opera singer and a stage director for twenty-five years. He has performed principal roles in or directed more than one hundred productions and has appeared in numerous houses, including San Francisco Opera, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He has also performed and conducted oratorios and recitals throughout the United States. Apart from singing, he made a debut as a concert pianist, performing Prokofiev's 3rd Piano Concerto in San Jose, California. He speaks six languages, and lectures throughout the world on both music and goal-oriented living. Montez has been a prolific liturgical composer for 30 years. This is his fifth oratorio. His first being, The Condescension, composed in 1990, his second, Enoch, composed in 2011, his third, Jonah, composed in 2013, and his fourth, Daniel, composed in 2015. Montez is the author of a number of books including Don't Believe It: How to follow your dreams in spite of those who say you can't; Singing for Your Supper: What They Didn't Teach You in College; Singing in Your Sleep: The personality you will need to have a career in opera (all can be found on wholenotepublishing.com and amazon.com).
