A Word of Hope offers a sympathetic, yet biblically grounded perspective on how to faithfully live out the Christian faith in ways that are authentic to Aboriginal cultures. Stelter offers a well-researched guide that is not only academically sound, but reaches deeply into his own experience at the heart of cultural identity.

Parry Stelter is originally from Alexander First Nation. Along with many others he was moved from his birth family as part of the Sixties Scoop that led to a series of foster homes. His first hand experience of indigenous issues in Canada offer a platform from which he can reflect on how his Indigenous roots provide understanding of faith dynamics between Indigenous faith practices and Christian faith. He is an accomplished writer, speaker, broadcaster and workshop leader. Along with his wife, Angeline, he is active in many church and other settings.
