Synopsis
When Rose Swenson, a mixed-race beauty, marries into a family of Swedish immigrants in the 1930's, she inadvertantly triggers the malice of local criminals, who conspire against, and then abduct Rose and her nephew Charlie. The two soon realize that their only hope for survival is to somehow escape their captors, and then dissappear into the wilderness. This book is steeped in the lore of the Great Plains, and the vibrant culture of the Sioux Nation. Biografía del autor
John R. Dann is a retired chemist with a lifelong interest in prehistory. He has visited prehistoric sites, cliff shelters, caves, and museums in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South America. He lives in Friday Harbor, Washington, with his wife, Barbara, where he teaches creative writing and ethnic dancing.
