Yet, their stories are not of failure, author Herman Ronnenberg contends, but of adventure, perseverance, and family relationships. Volume One of the series also contains a history of the Germans in Idaho with emphasis on their role in the brewing profession. Future volumes will cover the lives and family histories of many other early Idaho entrepreneurs in the business of making beer.
