This book was signed by the author and stamped at the visitor center on the day of the 50th anniversary of the quake of 17 August 1959. In addition, it is signed at the top of Chapter 4 by the author of Chapter 4, Tootie Greene, a nurse who was present in a campsite at the event and who had studied first-aid just in time. There is a color photo of the author signing copies of the book a couple of days before the 50th anniversary, which is included. Clean, fresh, tight and bright. This is the story of the 7.5 Hebgen Lake earthquake and rockslide, that happened near midnight of August 17, 1959, that killed 28 people. It is the story of survivors recalling their night of fear and the meaning of being spared.
