Synopsis
One word that can summarize the meaning of leadership as used in this book is "influence." Assistant Chief of Police (Ret.) Los Angeles Police Department Bob Vernon is an author, speaker and consultant. As Assistant Chief he supervised all departmental police operations for Los Angeles' 18 police stations. This included the oversight of 7,800 officers and 3,000 civilian workers. Bob retired after 38 years of service with LAPD. Bob travels across the United States speaking on the need for change in the moral fabric of our Nation. His insights into leadership based on the Christian ethic are well received by both secular and religious groups. He is the founder of Pointman Leadership Institute, a group of highly qualified instructors of various disciplines who present character-based, ethical leadership seminars throughout the world. Bob did his undergraduate work at Biola University and has a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
