Synopsis

What if you could stop the madness in the world -- through a simple shift? Unfortunately, we’re losing our collective humanity through our addiction to “being correct” instead of “being connected.” Far too much time is wasted—in business, family life, education, etc.— because we are mired in endless debate, in bickering, politicking, and posturing. We create unproductive and toxic conflict through our need to be right. What’s the simple shift? Let’s listen first. Let’s empathize and walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. Let’s treat each other with dignity and respect. Let’s regain our own humanity, and honor the humanity in others. Let’s focus on “What’s Right, not Who’s Right.” By making this simple (but often not easy) shift, our relationships, our work lives, our personal lives, and our health and well-being will improve. The madness will end!

À propos de l?auteur

Bob Tipton is a high energy, innovative, and insightful transformational-change architect, leadership facilitator, keynote speaker, and author who is passionate about helping individuals, groups, and entire organizations reach for and achieve exceptional results. While it seems the need for transformational change exists everywhere, he specializes in five primary areas: 1) government (local, state, federal); 2) utilities (water-related primarily); 3) education (K–12, higher ed); 4) health care (provider-based); and 5) nonprofits/foundations. Organizations in these areas tend to be institutionalized and bureaucratic. Some may say they are among the most difficult in which to make change “really” happen. However, he disagrees. Each of these areas also shares a common bond: the desire to serve people. It’s this “kernel” of serving the greater good that he works to reignite, to wake from hibernation, to leverage in helping these organizations move toward greatness in what they do. Call him naïve; call him delusional. It matters not. He loves to serve these kinds of organizations and help them remember the power and joy in what they do. Bob is married to his high school sweetheart, and together they have four children and one grandchild (thus far!). Living in the Denver area, he is a fourth-generation native of Colorado. He loves to travel, is a voracious and curious reader, and a champion for causes involving children. Reach out to Bob through his keynote speaker website: www.TiptonSpeaks.com.
