Ten Years after Fran Fisher's groundbreaking study on the sexuality of former Catholic nuns, the stories of these women have finally been published. Because of the sensitive nature of these candid discussions, first discussed at a time when public allegations of sexual misconduct within the Catholic Church were coming to light, Fisher felt obligated to let the sanctity of time pass before publishing her work. Now the fascinating, sometimes depressing, sometimes lighthearted experiences of these former nuns is told. Stories that tell of sexual experiences before, during, and after entry into the convent, and offer insight into the Catholic Church's perspective on sex.
