Synopsis

Too Many Feathers is a children's picture book about sharing and recycling. Many Feathers the main character of the story, has too many feathers. He flies around his neighborhood shedding his unwanted feathers. All of his friends find and recycle them in a creative and productive way.

À propos de l'auteur

Barbara H. Sarvis was born in Bergen County New Jersey. She was acedemically trained at The School of Visual Arts in New York City, Vermont Studio Center, The Charles Cecil Studio in Florence, Italy, Studio Incamminati, and The University of North Florida. In addition, she was an apprentice to Audrey Flack in the 1970's. She continued graduate level work in art education and fine arts and traveled throughout Europe studying the great masters and their works. She has held various art administration positions, including the directorship of education for The Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art, and as executive director for The Cultural Center of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She continues to teach studio art and art history to students of all age levels and abilities, including at-risk students, the gifted and talented, adults and professional artists. At present she is working as an art educator for Communities in Schools in Hastings, Florida.
