Synopsis

Carrie Hartnoll is a girl lost in a life going nowhere fast. A chance encounter with an ex-boyfriend affords her the opportunity of a new career in Ivy League America, working as part of a research team attempting to resurrect the language of Babel. A language, it is theorised, that can be understood by any human, from anywhere in the world. As Carrie pieces together her fractured personal life, she becomes embroiled in the mystery surrounding the apparent suicide of the project's original team leader, which propels her to uncover the horrific truth about the language and why it was written out of the history books...

Hailing from the north east of England, Lee Robson has quickly gained ground in the UK's independent comic scene, with his work featuring in the Eagle Award nominated FutureQuake and its sister publication, Something Wicked. He's also a regular contributor to Accent UK's acclaimed series of themed anthologies (including Robots, Western Predators and Zombies 2). Babble is his first graphic novel. A veteran of the UK and Irish independant publishing scene, Bryan Coyle has contributed covers and interior illustrations for a variety of publications including Mangaquake, Something Wicked and the Eagle-nominated FutureQuake. As well as featuring in the Accent UK graphic novels Predators, Robots and Western, he was the artist for Doctor Who webcomic spin-off The Forge and created Binmen of the Apocalypse for apocalyptic fanzine The End Is Nigh.
