ABOUT THE AUTHOR: My life began with my birth in my home on Route 27 just about a mile outside of Manchester on August 18, 1941. My home was built by my father and grandfather and I lived there until I was married in 1961. My life of poetry began in this same house while sitting on the front porch August 18, 1957, the day I became 16, and now, fifty-six years later, I am realizing how many lives have touched me just by sharing wonderful facts and memories from so many of you. I attended Manchester High School and graduated from North Carroll High School in 1959 and years later, received my AA Degree from Catonsville Community College in 1994. I started my career as a legal secretary and retired in 2006 as a court reporter for the Circuit Court for Carroll County. In 1966, my greatest role as mother began with the birth of Christine Lee and, in 1969, Gregory Richard, and I chose to stay home and enjoy these wonderful years, which I have wished to return to many times, and was able to do this through the births of my precious grandchildren. Every relationship has had an influence on what I have become today and I feel so blessed by my family, friends, teachers, co-workers and employers who have touched my life. I never know what each day will bring. I only pray for good health, family times, friends, a pad and pencil and just the facts!!!!!!
