Synopsis
America is the greatest country in the world. This is what I had been told for 27 years living in the states. I gave away my dog, quit my job, sold everything I had, and moved away from my oceanfront home on Maui in search of discovering if what I had been told was true. Lessons Down Under is my experience of living, working and traveling for three years in Australia. Starting in far north Queensland in the city of Cairns, living in a van while traveling the East Coast, and finally ending up in Melbourne where my wife and I became restaurant managers is where this journey took me. Whether you're a traveler, interested in Australia, or would like to read of an experience of living abroad for an extended time by transitioning from a working holiday visa to an employer sponsorship, I hope you enjoy reading my account as much as I enjoyed writing it.
