Karen Starr loves to do stuff! Her LinkedIn profile lists her as a Community Dreamer, in addition to being an interior designer and co-owner of Hazel Tree Interiors. She loves to co-create fun and needed community projects that make Akron a lovelier place to be, like Free Outdoor Movie Night in Glendale Cemetery and GAINS, The Greater Akron Innovation Network for Sustainability. She lives in West Hill with her husband and daughter. Joanna Wilson is an author who specializes in writing about Christmas entertainment. Her books include Merry Musical Christmas Volume One, The Christmas TV Companion, and Tis the Season TV: The Encyclopedia of Christmas-Themed Episodes, Specials, and TV Movies. She’s known locally as one of the organizers of the women’s-only group Dance Dance Party Party-Akron, and the co-founder of the popular blog Akron Empire. Joanna counts herself as one of Highland Square’s many memorable characters.
