Is cell ministry failing—or are common myths quietly sabotaging it?
Discover how to separate false assumptions from biblical truth and lead a healthier, more fruitful cell church.
Is your cell ministry burdened by rules, pressure, or expectations that drain life instead of producing it?
Have well-intentioned “cell principles” led your church into frustration rather than fruitfulness?
Do you wonder whether some commonly accepted ideas are biblical—or simply myths passed along over time?
After decades of walking with pastors and churches around the world, Joel Comiskey has seen how an otherwise healthy cell church movement can be weakened by false assumptions and creeping legalism. In Myths and Truths, he addresses these misunderstandings head-on and offers a clearer, more biblical path forward.
Myths and Truths is a pastorally wise guide that helps leaders untangle the errors that derail cell ministry and rediscover the freedom, flexibility, and life God intended. Rather than promoting rigid formulas, this book calls leaders back to time-tested biblical principles that consistently lead to fruitful cell ministry.
Each chapter opens with a unique and engaging format: well-known cell church leaders from around the world respond to real ministry questions through an email-style dialogue, grounding each topic in lived pastoral experience.
Whether you are launching cell ministry for the first time or have years of experience, Myths and Truths will help you keep your ministry fresh, balanced, and fruitful.
As Carl George writes:
“By using the format of debunking myths and presenting questions from real-life ministers, Joel opens a path for managing the crucial challenges facing cell ministry. He offers hope not only to megachurch leaders, but also to church planters and pastors of smaller congregations.”
Myths and Truths is your clarifying guide for leading cell ministry with wisdom, grace, and renewed confidence.
