Loss... Everyone experiences loss. The pain of loss—whether it is the loss of a friend or a family member, the loss of a relationship, the loss of a job, or the loss of youth or health—can bring disabling feelings of helplessness, despair, numbness and disorientation to almost anyone. This second edition of A New Normal invites you back again into the world of grief counseling where grief and loss have long been the focus of healing. Darlene Cross shares real examples from her years of experience helping grieving people understand and overcome their wounds and feel whole again. It provides answers and solutions for those who want to reclaim a normal life for themselves and the people close to them.

Darlene Cross is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with a private practice in Henderson, Nevada. She works with individuals, couples, families, and small businesses in a generalized setting with a long-term focus on personal and professional growth and development. Her combined background in mental health and business provide her with a unique perspective into helping others create positive change. She is also the author of Reinventing Normal, where she tackles serious subjects with a straightforward approach, often with unexpected dashes of humor. When Darlene isn’t busy being a therapist, working in her family business, or writing, you can find her in the ring at a dog show with her champion Polish Lowland Sheepdogs.
