It's those legends that still inspire us to dream of those days gone by.Untamed Land is a collection of short stories about the strengths and weaknesses of those people who moved into the west to live and raise their families. There are stories of the willingness of some to overcome the hardships that were thrust upon them. There are also stories of those who brought law and order to the west. Although the stories in this book are fiction, they show the determination of the men and women to take a wild and open land and make it a place to live and grow.

I was born and raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan, but I have lived in several places around this country, most of it in the west and mid-west. I currently live in South Dakota. I joined the Navy and served at San Diego Naval Hospital as a Hospital Corpsman. Later I worked in Law enforcement in Colorado. I began writing for relaxation. I used what I learned about procedures and the law in my mysteries. I also took an interest in the history of west and have used the knowledge in my western stories. My first book was a challenge from my wife. I was reading a book that I didn't like and said that I could write a better book. My wife said that I could tell I good story, and that I should write one. That was the beginning. I have enjoyed writing for almost twenty-five years. I like to simply tell a story, and that is what I do in my books.
