Synopsis

Eight humans are captured from across North America and taken to a distant planet of serve as the nucleus of a slave population. Rafe Alexander, one of the eight, designs and executes an escape from the alien captors only to discover that the planet is nothing like what he has known. Survival in the strange environment is a daily business with the talents and skill of all members being called into play. There is love, dependence, hatred, and friction among the humans. Their saga is full of adventure as they observe similar conflicts taking place among the other species on the planet. Can the humans survive? Can they stay out of the grasp of the aliens who brought them there? Can they avoid captivity or death from the other inhabitants? Can they get along with each other without bloodshed?
