Synopsis

Imagine an urban social worker psychiatrist battling not only to save the children in his care but also to conquer his own demons. The smallest detail (a tiny spider, for example) can suddenly loom into an epic opponent in this multi-layered, irresistible psychological thriller. The story jumps seamlessly from San Francisco's most depressed neighborhoods to a mythic landscape, cast of characters, and battlefield implied by the present but out of reach for ordinary perceptions. Until now. You will never see life in the same way after joining the author Among the Veils.
