Synopsis
Frankie Frog is shy and feels lonely. One morning, he begins a walk through the forest that turns into more of a journey, in which he learns the importance of working together and treating all with compassion. Frankie Frog is putting together a concert for the forest, and while he tries to do this on his own, he discovers along his walk, his journey, that he truly needs the help of others. So, he invites his friends: Today Turtle, Callie Cat, Rory Raccoon, Bonnie Bluebird, and several others, to be a part of this concert. It will be a magnificent concert in celebration of all! Frankie discovered the light within himself and the light within all along his walk.

April Duckworth is a teacher and curriculum designer, developing programs for art and music integration, critical thinking, and psychology. As a child, she began to write short stories. "The Light Magnificent" is a story that was born in a small coffee shop in Kentucky, with her sister-in-law, Lora, the book's illustrator. The message April hopes to share through this story is to encourage compassion to all, to celebrate diversity, and to encourage a sense of community. She attributes the completion of this book to her husband and best friend, Dylan, who encourages her every day.
