SE Scott was born in Summerton, SC. She has lived in Florida, and New York, and now resides in West Orange, NJ with her husband, Lynn. Since retiring as a teacher of English for 30 years, SE has devoted much of her time to writing, media production, community activities, travel, and family. SE also lectures about writing and poetry in schools and other institutions around the country.
