Natural history photographs and stories from her many years as an environmental educator, and biology from her career as a science teacher are woven through the book. One story is about a ruby-throated hummingbird dealing with a funnel-shaped bee balm flower stuck on its bill. In A Gentle and Curious Path you’ll find examples of turning lemons into lemonade again and again, and insights into emotional and spiritual aspects of a serious illness.

Ginger Wallis taught environmental education for fifteen years at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vermont, and currently teaches seventh-grade biology just across the Connecticut River in Hanover, New Hampshire.
