Sue Brown, MNM, CDBC, CPDT-KA, is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers, and a Professional Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. With over 15 years of experience, she owns Love My Dog Training, in the Denver, Colorado metro area, focusing on well-behaved and well-trained family dogs. She started her second business, The Light of Dog, in 2011 to publish books, ebooks, online training modules and other products. She has written for the APDT Chronicle of the Dog and was a contributor to the book The Association of Pet Dog Trainers Top Tips from Top Trainers: 1001 Practical Tips and Techniques for Successful Dog Care and Training published in 2010. She writes regularly on her weblog in addition to her monthly newsletter and the Ask the Trainer column for the Colorado Greyhound Adoption newsletter. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, a CPA license and a Masters of Nonprofit Management degree. She retired from her career as Controller for a nonprofit organization to run her own dog training and behavior consulting business full-time. Sue currently shares her life with her husband, Ed, their Greyhound, Jahzara, and the always entertaining, reformed juvenile delinquent Vizsla, Romeo.
