Joy Leeds has been a registered dental hygienist for over 30 years. Licensed in Illinois and California, she has seen patients from around the world. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Management and an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Since schooling, she has observed major changes in the health of patients, regularly seen for years by hygienists, which has led to the deterioration of the oral condition and the explosion for the need of dental implants. Procedures once commonly done to treat oral problems have become almost non-existent, as patients are being guided toward expensive artificial teeth. There are serious consequences to inadequate teeth care which leads to tooth loss and overall general health problems. This is the reason I wrote the book – to inform you so that you can do something about it. The book is the result of three decades worth of research, discovery and discussion with patients.
