Synopsis

SHOTGUN is a curious mix of images of the New Orleans' Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods with edgy graphic art and an eclectic short story. It is a companion to the new CD SHOTGUN featuring Bob Andrews playing with some of the best musicians in New Orleans. SHOTGUN book is full of odd juxtaposed images and is striking, electric, fanciful and amusing. It includes a short weird love story, highlighted with photos of the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods, and weaves in all the lyrics of the SHOTGUN CD, creating a new genre to promote music and New Orleans. RKR-CB, the author of SHOTGUN, wrote all the lyrics for the SHOTGUN songs and designed the music in partnership with Bob Andrews. SHOTGUN is the first of a series of creative projects to blend music, photography and a story to highlight New Orleans musicians. The SHOTGUN story is unusual even for New Orleans standards...chronicling the adventures of Guzzard and Mr. Poo two black Labradors in love, sex (three of the lyrics have explicit lyric warnings), drama, and fun. The CD SHOTGUN includes a stellar lineup of New Orleans musicians, including Bob, Alex McMurray, Johnny Sansone, Cornell Williams, Jermal Watson, Calvin Johnson, and Red Priest. The next RKR-CB book/CD project, INVISIBLE LOVE will be released later in 2012 and continues the saga of Guzzard and Mr. Poo and will feature Bob with another new mix of musicians and original songs.
