Synopsis

"Insanely ambitious and relentlessly creative" -- Jeff Weiss (LA Weekly, SPIN, etc.)

An analog offering to the digital gods, "Please Use Rear Exit" is a warped reflection of the celebrity obsessed, Tweet-happy world of Los Angeles and all its sexy-ass VIP sections. This Los Angeles, however, is so besieged by The Internet that the world wide web literally encases the city via a system of buses—its residents, buildings, businesses, everything. Leading the way through it all is Mikhail, who is in dire need of a boozy night out. Fresh off a particularly venomous break-up, he hasn’t been out with his friends for months. They weave in and out of bars and nightclubs, always in search of the best party, the sexiest women and the next whiskey-on-the-rocks. But what begins as a simple quest for debauchery soon turns into a thrilling adventure full of naughty dangers, mysterious characters and speaker-rattling hip-hop. His is a night dodging the antagonism of Robert Horry and discovering the flirtations of the invisible girl; living for the moment and in fear of deadly animal attacks ravaging a city; crossing the velvet rope and, ultimately, crossing friendships. It’s a raucous ride through a world increasingly dependent on technology, and what happens when we finally look up from our smartphones.
