Synopsis

The Iowa AssessmentsTM are standardized exams that are used by many schools across the country to determine a student’s level of achievement in his or her current grade. A version of this test is also used in Chicago as part of Chicago Public Schools’ Classical Schools admissions process. The Iowa AssessmentsTM Levels 5/6 exam is meant for students in kindergarten and first grade. It contains Vocabulary, Word Analysis, Listening, Language, Mathematics, and Reading subtests. All sections contain multiple-choice questions with three or four possible answers. There are a total of 220 questions on this practice test that cover all sections of the Iowa AssessmentsTM Levels 5/6 exam. We have included extra questions on the Listening and Reading subtests since students typically find those sections to be the most difficult on the actual exam. This book also contains instructions on how to administer the questions and answer keys for each section of the practice exam.
