So you kept up with Celeste through the earthquake and subsequent goings on at St. Anne in book One. Lora and the author enjoyed your company. Now mutatis mutandis wait till you see the comings and goings in Two! Though you’d think a woman of Celeste’s age might wish or even try to get everyone to stay put, Celeste proves game for whatever comes St. Anne’s way next.
Some of you have asked “How’s Aggie doing?” Aggie’s there all right, sole munchkin at St. Anne, and as you’ll see getting along just fine:
Aggie would grow up believing upside-down diapers and feet in sleeper armholes, normal, all a part of the fun.
And from her many adults’ point of view ... Aggie’s existence, her role was as complex as she herself was simple. It takes a bit, just being at St. Anne to see how a wee babe can latch onto profound and feathery, at once.
We’d better get on now. Celeste, Regoire, Lorena and Chet, Sadie, Stuart, Delaney and all at St. Anne are heading off through the lane, this time mostly out, even ‘across the pond.’
Readers found a touch-in with the characters helpful heading into Four, printed within the book, as it had been a while since the last book release. A character review here, fitting the storyline, may be also.

Ease has infused Powell’s writing life through books One and Two in her debut to series fiction with “through the lane to St. Anne ...” Ease and fun!
Besides being a writer, and a sometimes maker of selfie dance videos, Powell is simultaneously the glad mother of three grown kids over whom she has been 44-years-and-ongoing jubilant, on a daily basis: her son and daughters who brought her more dears, daughter- and sons-in-law, have not only created loving families, they've each in their sui generis made work/avocations they love. Through them, Powell has also been given and adores her five grandsons.
For more on her adult fiction series and the stories behind other of Powell's works including her giddy filming of the dance videos, go to www.esandypowell.com
And if you haven’t yet bought and distributed copies of “Hope for our World ~ an ecological tale for children of all ages” to earth-lovers here there and everywhere, Sparky asks “What’s stopping you?” and with big grin (and reference to the backstory for this series), “Why not!” Elena Raspopova’s otters alone are worth treating others to hope.
