Fashion experts tell us “pear-shaped” women that if we wear black on the bottom and color around our face it will make us look slimmer. As a size 24, I only owned black-bottomed clothes and followed that rule religiously. Now in a size 14, I question when I can challenge that rule and wear something colorful on my butt. What size do you need to be for it to be socially acceptable to wear, say, white pants? Live through Geno and Patty’s adventure into the world of color on Day 16 of “The Real People’s Guide to the HCG Diet.” As they dress for a “White Linen” party they discover that buying white outer clothing is only the beginning. What’s a man to do that does not own tighty-whitey’s? Patty and Geno have lost over 180 pounds on the HCG Diet and have helped hundreds of others accomplish the same thing. If you have ever been on a diet and swore you would never eat another piece of broccoli again, you can understand and appreciate the trials, tribulations, and successes of the real people featured in this book. Patty Christopher is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Geno Gambino is from Louisiana and was a hurricane Katrina victim. He moved to Las Vegas and was a casino dealer. About the same time, Patty moved to Vegas to have a mid-life crisis. She was a middle school teacher. They met one night when Geno asked her to dance. They have been inseparable ever since. They started their first round of the HCG diet over three years ago and knew immediately that they had found the answer to all of the frustration of yo-yo dieting and knew they had to quit their jobs and open their own weight loss center to help people find this miracle cure. In June of 2010 they quit their jobs and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to open Waist Away Weight Loss Center. They have helped hundreds of clients find the same success with the HCG Diet that they did. Now between them they have lost over 180 pounds! This book started as daily e-newsletters they send to their clients every day of the 50 days of the HCG diet. They got so much positive feedback from those emails that they have turned them into this book. In "The Real People's Guide to the HCG Diet" you will find daily inspiration, humor, and facts to help you succeed at meeting your weight loss goals no matter what weight loss program you are using.
