Synopsis

This book is about my life. Some people have suggested that it’s a story worth telling.

Everyone has had highs and lows in his or her life. I’m no different. Without valleys you can’t appreciate the mountains. These memoirs will skip the valleys. But believe me — speaking of emotional, stressful and challenging valleys, just like you, I’ve had them. They just aren’t part of this story. I think the higher the mountain, perhaps the deeper the valley.

I believe that there are a multitude of things that happen in our lives that cannot be rationally explained. Some people give credit for those mysterious times and events to the supernatural: a demigod, spirit, devil (“the devil made me do it!”) or God. Others give credit to coincidence or just plain luck: good luck, bad luck. I don’t much believe in coincidences, although coincidences obviously do happen. As far as luck goes, as it relates to one’s life, I think we greatly impact good or bad luck by choices we make. As far as the supernatural as it relates to me, I’ll pick God as the source of those unusual times or things. My wife, Judy, calls them "A God Thing."; and then there are "Scrantonisms.";

Non-activity brings a placid life. Activity invites the unusual!
