Five strangers escape to the islands. While there, they become the Island Dogs.Wayne ‘Pellet’ Pelletier’s life has fallen apart. He is alone, depressed and struggling with what his next move in life will be when a chance to work and relocate to a Caribbean island called Anguilla lands itself at his feet. Searching for peace and happiness in his roller coaster of a life, Pellet figures if bliss and happiness can’t be found living by the sea on a tiny tropical island, it simply must not exist. In the Caribbean he finds an instant connection to a group of beleaguered souls who are also picking up the pieces of their own shattered lives. Through fate or foolishness, and some hazardous to your health drinking nights, courtesy of Da Hut, this unlikely cast of characters become the rum soaked version of the Island of Mistfit toys. Before the islands they were barely living. After landing on the island of “Tranquility wrapped in Blue,” they become the support system and best friend each needs. And for better or worse, they become the “Island Dogs” as they learn more about themselves than they ever thought possible.

B.M. SIMPSON was born in rural Maine. He joined the Air Force at 18 and lived and moved across the U.S. and Europe. After retiring, he spent many years living, working and traveling in the Caribbean. On the islands of Anguilla, St. Kitts and Grand Cayman, he discovered a passion for island life and formed friendships second to none. After 30 years of writing poems, songs and short stories, he wrote his first novel, Island Dogs. Today Simpson calls St. Petersburg, FL home. He enjoys periodic trips back to the Caribbean to visit friends, share island stories, and soak up the peaceful vibe, sun, sea and warm breezes of the islands. And of course, a good rum punch made perfect by a local. He is currently writing his next novel, Avis Humphrey. www.BMSIMPSON.COM www.facebook.com/BMSimpson.author
