An avid reader, W. Derek Atkins grew up in Denton, Texas, and graduated from Baylor University, where he studied English Literature. He has lived more than ten years in China, where he taught English to undergraduates, graduates, and business people. He currently lives in Chicago, where he serves as an English Ministry Pastor at a Chinese church. Judgment Day is his first novel.
