In contrast, the conventional model of reality is binary where things are either 'real' or 'unreal'. Truth on the other hand represents an unconditional, non-local state of universal consciousness that underlies all realities and every local mind.

Andrew Lohrey is the author of The Meaning of Consciousness, University of Michigan Press (1997), and The Evolution of Consciousness: A New Science, Princeton, ICRL Press (2018). He is the editor of Alex Carey's Taking the Risk out of Democracy, UNWS Press (1994), republished by the University of Illinois Press in 1996, and in Germany by Westend in 2025. He has written and edited numerous works covering topics from politics, religion, phenomenology, and the philosophy of science. Andrew meditates daily, has four daughters, and now lives in Tasmania with his wife, the writer Amanda Lohrey.
