Muriel K. Rand, is Professor of Early Childhood Education at New Jersey City University. She has spent 20 years working with preschool and elementary teachers in urban public schools. She began her career as a preschool teacher and has been preparing new teachers since 1995. She is the founder of The Positive Classroom which provides professional development, books, videos, and online resources about classroom management strategies preschool and elementary grades: www.thepositiveclassroom.org.
