Synopsis

Nat and Devon love riding their bikes more than anything else. But on this day, the road they’ve ridden on so many times before takes them to a place they never could have imagined. Is it a kid’s paradise or a prison from which there is no escape? Will they ever find their way home or has the answer been there all along, right in front of them? Or maybe they are where they are supposed to be after all, but where is that, exactly? Nat’s frustration mounts as she searches for answers to her dilemma. She’s like Dorothy in the “Wizard of Oz” trying to find her way home, and even more frightening than how Dorothy finally found her way home because unlike Dorothy, Nat isn’t dreaming, or is she? Join Nat and Devon as they embark on a life-changing adventure that could be the end of their lives, or a new beginning!

À propos de l?auteur

A native of Boston, MA and a graduate of UMass/Boston with a BA in English, DJ is a self-proclaimed bibliophile. After working for several technology corporations as a Senior Technical Writer, DJ decided it was time to leave the corporate world and pursue her mutual loves of painting and writing. Throughout the years DJ always wrote extensively, completing many children’s stories as well as working on a variety of what would become novels. Often torn between completing a story or a painting, she has found a way to combine her two passions by illustrating many of her children’s stories. After spending many years pursuing fine art DJ made the decision in 2017, after self-publishing 4 books (The House at the Top of the Trees in 2014, Eddie Easel and the Case of the Missing Green and The Miracle Dog in 2015, and Mouse Bound in 2016) to complete the many stories and novels she had started and focus entirely on her writing. DJ and Jim moved to rural NH in 1987 where they live on 27 acres with their two spoiled dogs - a Pomeranian and a Min Pin - and a Cockatoo who thinks he owns the place.
