Kathleen Loomis retired from a career in journalism and corporate communication to become a fulltime artist. Her work has been included in many prominent shows and venues in the United States and Europe, including Quilt National, Fiberart International, Nancy Crow’s Color Improvisations and SAQA traveling exhibits SAQA@20, Seasonal Palette and Text Messages. She received the Quilts Japan Prize for her piece in Quilt National ’09, which included a trip to Japan, where she conducted workshops.
