Susan L. Farrell holds two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in business administration. Her first job out of college was with a national health care company, and over the years she climbed the ranks to executive director. She then started a business helping clients balance customer satisfaction with budgetary concerns and regulatory compliance. Her business acumen made her a sought-after speaker on the subjects of food-service management and self-leadership. She is also the author of Don’t Act like Prey! A Woman's Guide to Self-Empowerment and Three Good Choices: Change It, Accept It, or Leave It; A Woman’s Guide to Self-Empowerment.

Susan lives in rural Wisconsin with her husband and three cats.
