CHOPPER STEEDLEY-TOLAN is an eleven-year-old Shih Tzu who has faced many challenges in his big life. Chopper blogs and has a motorcycle club at choppersmc.com. He enjoys riding motorcycles, traveling and visiting schools and libraries. Chopper lives in California with his family.

Chopper's Mommy, AMANDA L. STEEDLEY, is a freelance artist. She received a BA in studio art from The University of Alabama and has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and photographer and contributed articles to various magazines. While on hiatus from creative pursuits, Steedley earned a MS in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and worked as a tax accountant.
