In a small rural Illinois town, people have disappeared for decades. The townsfolk of Follen Illinois attributed the disappearances to natural causes; a man running out on his pregnant girlfriend, an elderly woman with dementia driving away, forgetting where she lived... and a spoiled rich kid leaving his family and fortune behind to start over. The town simply accepted the vanishings and went on with their peaceful, uneventful lives. Priscilla Van Duyn was haunted by the demons of her past. Being the victim of a sexual assault in high school, she abandoned her dreams of competing in the Olympics and settles for a life of quiet seclusion. After college she takes a job in the small town of Follen Illinois. She instantly falls in love with the country lifestyle and the people accept her as family. Priscilla’s insatiable curiosity however, leads her to the secluded Conshaw House and a mystery more perplexing than all of the disappearances that have come before. Soon, she is forced to battle more demons; not only those that dwell in her subconscious, but demons of an origin she never suspected. Demons bent on possessing her very essence and using her body for sustenance.
